The Ribs & Blues Festival is a two-day long event that features yummy food, entertainment, and live music. Along with traditional Kennywood food favorites, there will also be a number of local BBQ joints onsite making some fan-favorite food.
Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum
Monday, May 27th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm
This Memorial Day, the Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall & Museum will host an event to honor those that served our country. The day will start with a ceremony paying tribute to the fallen PA service members. After the ceremony, there will be family-friendly activities, including face painting, balloon art, a bouncy house, crafts and more.
Flag Ceremony at the Heinz History Center-Memorial Day
Monday, May 27th from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm
Commemorate the holiday by attending the Memorial Day Flag Folding at the Heinz History Center. At this event, visitors will help unfold and refold a 36-foot American flag. There will also be a moment of silence and the singing of the National Anthem.
Lawrenceville’s Historic Memorial Day Parade and Service
Monday, May 27th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
This Memorial Day morning, the Lawrenceville’s Historic Memorial Day Parade and Service will begin at 10:00 am on 36th street and wind down Butler Street to Alleghany Cemetery. At the cemetery, there will be a memorial service to honor our fallen soldiers. After the service, visitors are invited to relax and enjoy a beautiful day. There will be food trucks, face painting, a classic car show and more!
