Connect the hose to city water and run it through your entire system until the water runs clear. Make sure the freshwater also goes through the outside shower hose and fresh water tank. It is important to get every trace of anti-freeze out of your water system.
5. Inspect the tires: Next, inspect the tire treads for signs of any visible wear. The last thing you want on your trip is a blowout, so it is important to thoroughly inspect each tire. Fill the tires to the recommended PSI and inspect all tires for signs of cracking.
6. Check recreational vehicle seams: Keep in mind that each seam in the RV has the potential to leak. Inspect all seams for signs of cracking, opening, separation, wear or other damage. If you notice a leak, use an RV compatible sealant to patch the area.
7. Change out smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries: Swap out the batteries in the carbon monoxide and smoke detector with fresh new batteries.
